We’re headed back to South Africa this week for our Show Your Wild Side post. Today we interview Gavin, the owner of Extreme Scene in Cape Town. Interested in cage diving with sharks? How about skydiving? Is skydiving too much for you and you want to bungee? Maybe you’d be more interested in paragliding, or quad biking. Tell us a little about Extreme Scene and how you got started, Gavin.

I have been running Extreme Scene for over 6 years now. I have a great love for Cape Town, South Africa and there are so many unbelievable outdoor adventures here. I just wanted to be outside having fun and sharing the magic of Cape Town and it’s surrounds with others.

What’s a customer to expect when they come to see you?

Encouragement to conquer their fears and the anticipation of an adrenaline filled time in Cape Town!

What do customers need to do to get ready to enjoy the experience?

All you need is a sense of adventure mixed with a healthy dose of bravery!!

What activities do you offer?

We offer a wide range of activities, but our “Big 6″ are: Shark Cage Diving, Tandem Skydiving, Tandem Paragliding, Quad Biking, Helicopter Flights and Sand Boarding. We also incorporate many of these adventures into fun filled team building/incentive days.

What’s the best part of your job?

Seeing people overcome their fears and the huge smiles on their faces once they have finished their day with us.

How safe are the activities?

There is always a level of risk in any extreme activities however all of the activities that we offer are commercial activities, with well trained guides in charge and their main priority is safety.

Thanking me for facilitating and managing the experience of a lifetime and keeping them calm in the run up to the activity.

We actively use both Facebook and Twitter. We have chosen them as they are proven main stream marketing tools.
